    我治一高血压患者,段×x,58岁,经服药一月之久,以后一年多未再来复诊。后患者因咳嗽频繁,又来求治,询问高血压病,他说:“已经好了,服红花泡酒一年来血压正常”。

    我测量血压,果尔如此,即录之。

   红花30克泡白酒1斤,一周后即可服,每次一小酒杯,日服二次,服时摇瓶使其均匀。


   此方我治病例14人,7人血压降至正常,4人显效,3人不能饮酒,故未坚持。用药量最多照方泡过3次。近期疗效尚可,远期疗效还待日后进行观察。

 Here I report a case of a hypertensive patient, Mr. Duan, aged 58. After taking medication for one month, he did not return for follow-up visits for over a year. Later, the patient came for treatment again due to frequent coughing. When I inquired about his hypertension, he replied, “It has resolved. My blood pressure has been normal for a year now since I started taking safflower (红花)-infused liquor.” I measured his blood pressure, which was indeed the case, and I hereby record the finding.

   Safflower (红花), 30 g, is soaked in 500 ml of white liquor. It is ready for consumption after one week. The dosage is one small cup each time, taken twice daily. The bottle should be shaken before each use to ensure uniformity.

   I have treated 14 cases with this prescription: 7 patients achieved a return to normal blood pressure, 4 showed marked improvement, and 3 were unable to adhere to the treatment because they could not consume alcohol. The maximum use involved preparing the prescription with the same dosage three times. The short-term efficacy is acceptable, while the long-term outcome remains to be observed through future follow-up.
