A Dinner Alone
As the sun sets, the hustle and bustle of the day comes to a close. The streets are quiet, and the city is calming down. It’s just me and my thoughts, and the warm glow of the candles on the table.
The first course is a fresh salad, crisp and cool. The greens are coated in a light dressing, with just a hint of sweetness. A few croutons provide a satisfying crunch. It’s simple, but satisfying.
Next comes the main course: a perfectly cooked steak. The meat is tender and juicy, with a nice char on the outside. Each bite is full of flavor, and I savor every moment. The side dish is just as impressive, a creamy potato gratin with a golden brown crust. It’s rich and indulgent, the perfect complement to the steak.
For dessert, I indulge in a velvety chocolate mousse. The texture is light and airy, with just the right amount of sweetness. It’s the perfect way to end the meal, and I’m left feeling content and satisfied.
As I linger over my coffee, I reflect on the evening. There’s something special about enjoying a meal alone. It’s a chance to slow down, savor the flavors, and enjoy my own company. In a city that’s always moving, it’s a rare moment of stillness.
I finish my drink, blow out the candles, and head towards the door. The city is still quiet, but the night is young. As I step out into the cool night air, I feel refreshed and recharged. Dinner alone was just what I needed.
